Off to Fully Charged Sydney

In a few days, we’re heading off to Fully Charged Show’s Everything Electric Australia 2024 in Sydney. We’re planning to attend the show on Saturday February 10.

Come say hi if you see us walking around ☺️.

It’s a renaming of “Fully Charged Live” which debuted in Australia last year, and tours through half a dozen cities around the world. It now has a broader scope than just EVs and other e-transport, extending into home energy, low carbon footprint sustainable solutions, such as cooking and housing. Take a look at the link – there’s a lot on.

If you’re a member of The NRMA, you can get 30% of ticket prices, I think.

We’ll drive out through Gippsland, Victoria, probably up through Bright and the Kosciusko National Park, eventually to stay on the NSW Central Coast for a few days. Basically looking for roads on which we haven’t yet traveled ☺️.

    1. Tesla Tripping are you taking the Barry Way C602? From what I've read it's only for very experienced drivers in a reliable 4WD

      1. Neerav Bhatt Not planning to take a 4WD only track, no. Thanks for the tip.

      2. Tesla Tripping no worries. When driving in more remote areas I've learnt to research the roads before hand. Especially since most EVs I review aren't 4WD and they also don't usually have a spare tire

      3. Neerav Bhatt As you might have seen on our blog, we’ve done a lot of unsealed and back roads in our travels. But we don’t do 4WD only tracks such as sand or requiring high ground clearance.

    2. BTW what's the real life highway speed range of your Tesla?

      1. Neerav Bhatt I don’t really monitor that stuff. But I managed to find a recent trip that averaged over 80km/hr, in the attached screenshot. It shows 15Wh/km. I’m guessing we get 15 to 18 Wh/km on 100km/hr stretches

    1. John Myers Ha! We’ll see you there! Coincidentally, today we won free tickets from Evie Networks. I’ll probably also go on Friday afternoon to be part of a panel discussion on how public chargers could be improved.
