How to drive efficiently with a soup cauldron

How to optimise your driving for efficiency:

  1. Place one large slow cooker cauldron of soup in the car, between your passenger’s feet.
  2. Select the most windy route to your destination.
  3. Try not to let your feet slip into the pot.
  4. Along the drive, aim for smooth driving, minimising harsh acceleration, braking, cornering and potholes.
  5. Gauge your success from the car’s measured kWh per km.
  6. Verify your success by measuring how much soup remained in the pot, and how burnt your ankles are.

  1. There's plenty of challenging twisty terrain between Monbulk and Emerald. Well done!

  4. If you had a decent EV.
You would be cooking while you drive using the 240v Aus power outlet. 😬

    1. Drew Bute Yes, good point. I wish we had a V2L (240V) outlet in the car, like many EVs have now.
