Spotting the Lochiel Monster

Uluru via Stuart Highway 2025

We spotted the Lochiel Monster, on our way towards Port Pirie.

Very flat landscape, then a few rolling hills. Currently very green, despite the long drought. Nothing but farms, a few home made junk yards, some wind turbines, and road trains.

Charging

The Tesla navigation started warning that we were venturing beyond known charging options. It doesn’t seem to be aware of the RAA and NRMA chargers ahead of us in Port Pirie. Fortunately, we had checked on PlugShare ahead of time.

  1. I’m surprised Guyra doesn’t have a charging point being the location

    1. Daniel Rond Yeah, according to the PlugShare app, the closest public chargers to you are in Armidale and Glen Innes. But when we visit, I will just ask you charge from your household power point 😉.

I have a 8.36kw solar system so during a sunny day you can charge from Mr Sun 👌
