    Question for you - regarding the grid outage. When your solar is generating during a blackout, how do you control the excess solar. ? And how do you stop it from exporting back to the grid ?

      Crank Ozzie Great question. During normal grid connection, the solar system already has to limit production to match total consumption by house, battery and grid. For example, if the battery is full, no appliances are on, then the solar production limits to the 5kW or 1.5kW or whatever the grid allows as export.

      During a grid outage, it’s the same. The solar system limits production to consumption by house, battery and zero to grid.
