The Tesla mistook Mum for a child

We left Mum in the car, while we dashed into Fountain Gate shopping center. The Tesla bombarded me with “Child detected in car” alerts. I think it also flashed the slim orange light on the boot.

Perhaps Tesla needs to correct their child detection algorithm.

  3. Still good that it worked, I think i would rather have it than not have it. Not available on HW3 along with a few other things like ultrawideband for the phone.

Perhaps you need to learn how to use your car (dog mode)

    1. Cyril Touchet this may be a massive stretch on my part, but isn't Dog Mode for, I don't know, dogs? 🤔

      2. Andrew Perry sure you can leave them with the AC on, but it disables various controls, such as the doors and windows I think. If you're leaving humans it should be on Camp Mode.

Mine goes off if I leave a backpack on the seat. It’s quite frustrating that it can’t be turned off permanently

  9. Why did you have the car locked and Sentry on if someone was in the car?

That's why you got so many notifications 🤣

  10. You can turn off the child detection btw. Not permanently - it re-enables on the next drive

  12. Next time, pop the car into camp mode. And seriously, can you place the fifth icon on the app? Looks off without it. 😉

    1. Kwabena Ernest It was raining. And open doors make it difficult for a car next to us to move.

Tesla Tripping I meant, if you were using phone key, you walk away and the car locks itself, so you unlock the car on the tesla app on your phone.. or use the card key, the car won't lock itself
