Car charge now on the Tesla app's home screen

Woke up to a minor but very helpful change in the Tesla app. The house screen now includes the percentage charge of the car (shown in the screenshot at 84%). Very handy to see it all in one place, without switching to the car view.

  1. Only problem is that it never updates until you swipe to the car screen

    1. Nathan Grist I'm not sure what you mean. The app now (as of today, I think) shows the car charge percentage in the house (Powerwall) screen, without having to swipe to the car screen.

      1. yes but if you notice that if you plug the car in and it displays 70% if you leave it for half an hour and go back into the app it will still display at 70% then you swipe to the car the car will update to say 73% then when you go back to home side it will update to the 73% charge

  5. Minor advice, you should only use excess solar to charge your vehicles so you don't use up the charge cycles of your battery.

    1. Frederick Olaide Yinka-Kehinde Good advice. Normally, I don’t charge our car from our house battery. I did partially charge from it that morning, to squeeze in max charge before a small road trip, leaving the sun to recharge it while we were gone.
