FSD version 14 first impressions

Updated car software and self driving installed.

  • Shiny! The car looks so much shinier now. Well, on the screen at least.
  • It actually managed to reverse out of our driveway, turn, and head the correct way up our one-way street.
  • It’s fast, maybe too fast. It now has “speed profiles” including sloth, chill, standard, hurry. I think the USA version also has “Mad Max”, but not in Australia, which is ironic. I think my normal driving is somewhere between sloth and chill. My driving around curves is closer to standard.
  • The speed limit indicator is now near the current speed, which is better UI, and quicker to see both.
  • It shows your best “streak” – maximum kilometres driven on FSD.

Let us know when you lose your streak 🤣

    1. Kylie Gilroy I'm still trying to figure out how the streak works. It nearly did all 30+ km home tonight, until it dropped to 40, in a school zone... at night 🤦.

Tesla Tripping the streak works until you manually have to take over

    1. Christopher Aynsley Agreed. Most of my interventions were because it was too slow around curves.

Tesla Tripping the round about was the worst.
