An Audi e-tron meet, with Linda and Louis

NSW → QLD Road Trip 2022–23

We waited for another Tesla Model 3, which was at 99% for ages when we got there, not checked in, in PlugShare. Then had a chat with Linda and Louis who arrived a while later, in their Audi e-tron. They had travelled from Wollongong, passing through Port Douglas. We agreed that we need more than one RACQ Chargefox fast charger in these locations. The layout of this charger is great: easy to park; can charge from either side; near shopping and toilets.

  3. Aaron made a good point the other day regarding checking in, when you check on chargefox to see if the charger is available why check in on plugshare as well, chargefox tells you if the charger is available or not

    1. Kylie Gilroy Good question. The Chargefox app only shows me that a charger is in use. But PlugShare shows me how long they expect to be and any other people who are are already waiting after them. We can also leave a message such as "I can leave if you need it". We need a better consolidation of all this info 🤔.

      1. Tesla Tripping that's my point though, no one ever writes how long they are going to be, I've read many check ins and there are many who write nothing so it's pointless really.

How can you tell how long someone is going to be if they don't write a comment?

  4. The next evolution for charger planning will be to cater for EV’s with trailers like most of the rest of the world do. Our next lap of Oz will have a camper behind the Tesla.
