First Great Ocean Road stop: Torquay

Grampians + Great Ocean Road 2023

First stop on The Great Ocean Road at the RACV Resort Chargefox chargers in Torquay. Seemed quite popular, with a couple of EV Volvos pulling up next to us. Looks like even more bays under construction.

Just enough charging time to eat a burger. Then we were off again, towards Aireys Inlet.

RACV Torquay is a great place for a meal and for a charge. It was here I learned the taller chargers are the rapid, but cost around 50% more. Had hardly started on coffee and cake when I got the message our Tesla was done. Could have chosen the slower charger and not have had to move the vehicle so soon.

  Sean Thomson Thanks for validating my choice of the slower (50kW) charger 😉. I would normally choose the faster one, but only needed 25kWh and I needed time to eat my burger. Or I’m really just a cheapskate.
